Oklahoma native Blake Shelton is putting on a benefit concert to help the victims that were affected by the devastating tornado that wrecked Moore, Oklahoma.
He first mentioned putting together a benefit Tuesday night on The Voice. He said, “I’m hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly.” And Usher offered to “call in some really big favors”.
Like Bieber? Think the booing would subside long enough for the Biebs to do some good?
Not like Blake would have any problems calling in the big names. He could just ask a fav from all of his Voice buddies (mmmm Adam), his wife Miranda Lambert, his cohort Kelly Clarkson and her mom-in-law to be Reba McEntire. Sprinkle in some Usher, Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo to break up the country music some. Maybe even throw Katy Perry and Pitbull in there somewhere. That would be a show!
And good for Blake for jumping on the benefit idea. Moore needs all the help that they can get right now and a show like that would raise plenty of money!

Leave a commentThere’s a new website called Stereotype.fm and it reveals some very strange connections between music taste, habits, and personality types. They surveyed over 100,000 users and came up with several stereotypes that you fall under if you like a certain band.
And no, they didn’t conclude that Justin Bieber fans typically sip on sizzurp and fantasize about castrating him… Or Ke$ha fans like to drink their own urine Kool-Aid. But here are some fun correlations that the website was able to make.
- R.Kelly fans are most likely to pick their nose when no one is around (100% confessed to it).
- 1D fans most likely to pee in the pool (88%).
- Lil Wayne fans are the most likely to be prepared for zombie apocalypse.
- Third Eye Blind fans are most likely to have an imaginary friend. I guess that they can listen can gather and listen to the non-existent band together.
- Michael Buble fans are most likely afraid of spiders.
- Celine Dion fans least likely to own firearms.
- Kelly Clarkson fans most likely to have multiple tattoos.
- And Alanis Morissette fans are the mostly likely to have had a threesome.. Weird. Alanis music makes me angry and more likely to punch a boyfriend, not invite him and his buddies back to the bedroom.
Are you guilty of any of these stereotypes? Can you come up with any fun ones?
1 CommentMusic mogul Clive Davis is releasing a memoir called The Soundtrack of My Life.. He made a big revelation in the book, where he revealed that he is bi-sexual and has been in a relationship with an unidentified male partner for the last 7 years.
But finally fessing up to a big gay secret isn’t exactly shocking anymore.. What’s crazy about this book is all the false lies that he’s spreading about Kelly Clarkson’s career.. and she’s throwing him under the bus for being a bully!
Clive wrote in his book that Kelly pitched a fit and cried ‘hysterically’ because she didn’t want her hit song ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ on her album. But Kelly says that Clive got the details mixed up and omitted other important facts in his tall tales about her.
She says that she argued because she wanted ‘Because of You’ on the album and Clive didn’t. He actually called her a ‘sh***y writer’ and told her that she should just ‘shut up and sing’.
Here is just a little bit of what Kelly Clarkson wrote in a lengthy blog on WhoSay -
“So I just heard Clive Davis is releasing a memoir and spreading false information about me and my music. I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans. It feels like a violation. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don’t have to cower to anyone – even Clive Davis.
First, he says I burst into ‘hysterical sobbing’ in his office when he demanded ‘Since You Been Gone’ be on my album. Not true at all. His stories and songs are mixed up.
I cried because he hated [Because of You] and told me verbatim that I was a “sh***y writer who should be grateful for the gifts that he bestows upon me. He continued on about how the song didn’t rhyme and how I should just shut up and sing. This was devastating coming from a man who I, as a young girl, considered a musical hero and was so honored to work with. But I continued to fight for the song and the label relented. And it became a worldwide hit. He didn’t include that in the book.”
There was also an incident where he belittled her in front of his whole company and trashed her album ‘My December’. She says that the album never even had the chance to reach its full potential.
Read all about that incident and everything else that she had to say in her blog HERE.
I love Kelly Clarkson and I’m glad that she’s standing up to her musical bully.. but now is a good time to set the record straight. Kelly- start penning your own biography and tell the truth about Idol, industry secrets, even the real (future mother-in-law) Reba McEntire.. and feel free to talk smack about Clive!

Leave a commentTypical typical Grammy Awards. Snooze fest central. How can the greatest night in music be so boring?
The performances were so raw and great… but it was predictable. It wasn’t even shocking that Chris Brown and Rihanna were sitting together or that she was wearing a maybe engagement ring. See closeups of that engagement bling HERE.
From Taylor Swift dancing around with weird Alice in Wonderland creatures, to having FUN. in the rain, to Carrie Underwood‘s dress lighting up, it just didn’t have the WOW factor it needed.
Sure Frank Ocean, Mumford and Sons, The Black Keys and Gotye won some awards, but what was the best moment? Probably when Frank Ocean won Best Urban Contemporary Album-who was up against Chris Brown. Did anyone else see the look on Chris’ face? Who’s ready for another brawl?
J.Lo popping out the Angelina Jolie leg, Katy Perry in mint green, vavavoom Gucci and RiRi in classic sheer Alaia…I’d say they definitely pushed the CBS memo to the limit. But hey, J.Lo seems to have toned it down from previous fashion choices at the Grammys. See all the pics from the red carpet HERE.
Justin Timberlake returned to the stage for his first live performance. Rihanna performed her new single with Mikky Ekko, and Bruno Mars paid tribute to Bob Marley with Sting, Rihanna and Ziggy Marley. And what…LL Cool J aka #Twitter promoter? Stick to hosting and NCIS: Los Angeles.
All in all, it was a FUN. show, but there was nothing exciting about that…well besides Beyonce cracking up at Ellen, and maybe Kelly Clarkson‘s acceptance speech.
Oh yeah, and Justin Bieber instagramming a selfie with the tag “never been so frustrated”…someone was bitter about the not being nominated.. Maybe next year Biebs.

Leave a commentBeyonce stole the show during President Obama’s inauguration on Monday. She dazzled the audience with her 80 carats worth of real emeralds… but let them down with her fake performance.
A spokeswoman for the Marine Corps Band revealed that Beyonce and the band both faked it for her performance, while they went live for the other artists that decided to actually sing, like Kelly Clarkson.
Now people are debating who is the biggest betrayer to America- Beyonce or Lance Armstrong?
For example, one site says that Lance kept up the façade for years that he could beat anyone without performance enhancing drugs but Beyonce pretended she could out sing everyone without performance enhancing tracks. And Lance took away the prize from the real winners that weren’t doping while Beyonce took away praise from the real singers, like Kelly Clarkson.
Well the one thing that you don’t do is call Beyonce a lying faker so now another Marine Corp spokesperson is watering down those lip synching claims.
The spokesperson said that no one in the Marine Corp band was ‘in a position to assess’ whether or not Beyonce did it live or went with a pre-recorded track but she decided to have the band use the pre-recorded music because they didn’t have enough time to rehearse.
Now of course, everyone knows that Beyonce can sing but singing at the President’s inauguration while 40mil are watching is the biggest gig of their career. You can listen to pre-recorded stuff all the time on the radio, when you see a performance, you expect it to be live. (“What does that mean, ya’ll?” – Britney Spears).
Aretha Franklin, who performed at Obama’s first inauguration ceremony in 2009, admitted that she ‘cracked up’ when she heard Beyonce-gate. She said that Beyonce had ‘done a beautiful job with a pre-record’.
