Desiree Hartsock didn’t luck out in the love department with Sean Lowe on The Bachelor but she’s getting another chance to find a fiancé. She’s the lucky lady that gets to hand out the roses on The Bachelorette this season.

Nick the magician tries to win her over by giving her a paper rose, lighting it on fire and turning it into a real rose. “Magicians are hot!”, said no one ever, except for Holly Madison during her Cris Angel phase. Cringe.

As the new season of The Bachelor rapidly approaches…so do the lawsuits…against the one-and-only Reality Steve. The reality TV show blog that’s been dubbed ‘Spoiler Steve’ dishes all the dirt on upcoming episodes of The Bachelor as well as The Amazing Race, Real Housewives and Survivor.
Back in December 2011, NZK Productions and Horizon Alternative Television, a division of Warner Bros., first sued Steve Carbone alleging that to gain spoilers, he was attempting to induce contestants into breaching their confidentiality pledges.
The lawsuit settled in June 2012, with Warners expressing satisfaction that Steve had agreed to have no further contact whatsoever with any of the cast, crew or employees of The Bachelor. Carbone pledged at the time to continue spoiling the show but to abide by the settlement so as not to “to give them an alleged excuse to file another [lawsuit].”
However on Dec. 12, 2012, Steve posted spoilers for the first five episodes of Sean Lowe’s season of The Bachelor, which included the first and last names of all of the women eliminated from the competition. After reading Steve’s synopsis for myself, using disclaimer: SPOLIER ALERT doesn’t quite cut it…he may be safer starting off with: THERE’S NO NEED TO WATCH A MINUTE OF THE BACHELOR IF YOU READ THIS POST. Steve literally gives away EVERYTHING. Needless to say, Bachelor producers lodged a new complaint to California federal court, saying they believe Steve continues “to seek confidential information from participants, cast, crew and other employees of the Bachelor series.”
HOWEVER, here’s the part ABC doesn’t seem to get, sure Steve’s spoilers risk a loss of serious TV viewership (we’re talking 9 episodes per season at 2 hours a pop, plus the Women Tell All and After the Final Rose specials), BUT knowing who gets kicked off isn’t going to stop us die hard Bachelor fans from tuning in. It’s not about winning and losing. The show’s allure is the drama and sheer stupidity of the contestants, set against the beautiful backdrop of exotic destinations. THAT is what keeps us coming back for more! Season after season…after season…after season (17 total, but who’s counting).
By the way, Steve has admitted that he had offered compensation to three women on the last season of the show for information. But he denied ever actually paying them. That sucks! The producers don’t go into any detail about who was contacted or what was offered, but it must have been something good.
As for Reality Steve, he has this to say about the new allegations: “The suit is bogus…The producers have provided no proof that I did anything in violation of our agreement because there is none. They just seek to put me out of business by intimidation and litigation costs. I am currently exploring my legal options, including a counterclaim.”
So…who’s watching the premiere with me Monday??
Leave a commentA few celebrities were involved in some car crashes.. Not together or this would be the most awkward bromance ever.
The new Bachelor Sean Lowe was involved in a wreck on Monday. There aren’t a lot of details on the crash right now. They didn’t disclose their location but Reality Steve is reporting that they are in St. Croix right now. They just wrapped up filming in Canada this past Saturday.
The show’s executive producer Mike Fleiss tweeted about the accident, saying, “Sean and several of my beloved producers were in a car accident yesterday. Thank God everyone is OK … We’ve had more emergencies this season than ever… Whew! Thankful that everyone is ok after the car crash. Never letting @chrisbharrison get behind the wheel again…”
And Diddy was involved in a car crash in LA yesterday afternoon. His SUV T-boned another car that turned left in front of him.
He wasn’t behind the wheel at the time, he actually had a driver. Diddy, his driver and the driver in the other car all complained of pain but no one was taken to the hospital.
Diddy was so shaken up that he had to lie down in the grass for a little while though.

Leave a commentEmily Maynard and Jef Holm confirmed what Reality Steve dished out last week, they are officially done faking their relationship.. Guess the hush money ran out?
They released a statement saying that they have ‘no regrets’ and they did fall in love on the show. They called this experience an incredible journey and said they tried to make it work but heartbroken that they couldn’t. And of course, they want to remain friends forever and are looking forward to the next chapter in their life….. Blah, blah, blah. You can read their full apology speech below if you care to.
And it looks like the black man still can’t get on The Bachelor. Two men sued the show, saying that they were turned down as potential Bachelors because they were black but the court dismissed the case, saying the casting choices remain the sole discretion of those working on the show.
I guess playing the black card won’t get you into the Bachelor just yet.
