Rodney King, whose vicious beating by the cops ignited the L.A. Riots back in ‘92, was found dead in the bottom of his pool back in June.
The details were kind of sketchy. His fiancée said that he went to bed around 2 a.m. but then she was woken up by his screams hours later. She ran out in the backyard to find him drowning (drowned?) in the pool. Friends of Rodney were suspicious over her involvement.
Well the autopsy report has been released and he was on some serious drugs when he died. They found alcohol, marijuana, cocaine and PCP in his system.
PCP? I didn’t even know that people actually did that drug. I’ve never heard of it except for in drug prevention videos where they do PCP and jump out of a window and after the funeral everyone says ‘Don’t Do Drugs’.
And it’s interesting that he was on PCP because that’s what the cops thought he was on when they beat him but it didn’t show up in his drug testing.
Anyway, the cause of death is still considered ‘accidental drowning’ but the coroner did say that Rodney was ‘in a state of drug and alcohol induced delirium’ when he died. It’s still unknown if he fell or jumped in the pool.
They also said that the drug combo partnered up with his heart problems likely made him ‘incapacitated’ and assisted in the drowning.
So sad. Don’t do drugs.

No he’s not dead… again. But yes, he’s in rehab…again.
But, no that’s not the news we’re reporting to you.
If you’re wondering: who is this guy? Then, you’re probably not watching enough mind-numbing wonderful reality TV. Or you just didn’t catch Seth’s season(s) of Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab. Seth Binzer aka Shifty Shellshock is, or was, the lead singer of Crazy Town (rock rap band from ’90s).
Earlier this year, “Shifty” slipped into a mysterious coma—well the cause wasn’t very mysterious—but it seems to have finally been the thing to WAKE Seth UP (no pun intended). Ever since he was released from the hospital in April, he’s been at a drug treatment facility…another one.
Part of the news we’re reporting is that Shifty was sentenced yesterday to three years probation for his February drug arrest. Back then, cops were called after he was reported to be roughing up his ex-girlfriend at a ‘Ross Dress for Less.’ The police found him with more than just discounted clothing, but also carrying rock cocaine. Yesterday, Shifty was also ordered by the judge to stay away from his ex.
The second part to this story is that, Seth would like to apologize to everyone affected by his (most) recent drug arrest. A rep for Shifty said, “Seth has completely changed his life around and has checked into a highly regarded drug and alcohol treatment center where he will be working with them to restructure his life over the next 2 years.”
Let’s hope this treatment center has a better success rate than Celebrity Rehab.

Authorities do NOT believe Rodney King‘s fiance is hiding any information and they have no reason to believe any foul play was associated with his death. There were no signs of struggle and no blood found near the pool.
That said, police have confiscated marijuana plants from Rodney’s home in Rialto, along with a pitchfork and a hoe… Wait, huh? Come on… It’s Rialto… not Wisteria Lane… leave his gardening equipment alone.
An autopsy has also been performed to help determine how he died; toxicology results could take up to six weeks.
Wow, Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab doesn’t have the best track record… So far they’ve lost—Mike Starr, Jeff Conaway and Rodney King—are we missing anyone? Oh, plus there’s Seth “Shifty Shellshock” Binzer who just came out of a drug-induced coma in April…

Rodney King, who was at the center of the infamous LA riots more than two decades ago, was found dead at his house yesterday. He was only 47 years old. According to his fiancée Cynthia Kelley, he had been smoking weed and drinking all day. She went to bed but then was woken around 5 a.m. when Rodney was banging on the window of their home. She looked outside and saw that he was naked. She asked him, “What’s wrong, Rodney?” and went to go grab her phone when she heard a big splash. She ran outside and discovered him in the bottom of the pool and called police. The paramedics removed him from the pool and attempted to revive him but it was too late. He was pronounced dead at 6:11 a.m.
But friends aren’t really buying Cynthia’s story. They said that she keeps on changing her story and voiced their concerns to a detective. Here’s the vid of Rodney’s famous beat down plus his last interview with TMZ.
