Some celebs steer clear of reviews (for fear of the truth?) but Matthew McConaughey heads straight for them. He likes to read every bad review and take it as constructive criticism… and that’s why he’s so good. Looking that dang good doesn’t hurt either.
Matthew explained his reasoning to seek out the negative reviews. He said, “A few years ago, I did a really interesting kind of experiment. My assistants gathered every negative review I’ve ever had and it was a good, thick pile. I sat down and said, ‘We’re gonna read every one of these.’ There was some really good constructive criticism. I’m like, ‘That’s what I would’ve said about that performance. You’re right.’”
But it’s not all bad.. We are talking about Matthew McConaughey here. You’ve seen Magic Mike, Dazed and Confused and Lincoln Lawyer, right? AMAZING. He is a pretty legendary actor.
He also said, “What’s nice is when you read a review and…it’s almost exactly what I wrote down before I ever did the picture of what I was trying, who I thought the guy was. So I go, ‘Ah, it translated.’ The word was never spoken, but they got that out of the performance.”
Then he said, “Alright, alright, alright”, put on some chaps and a cowboy, and took the center stage at the strip club… At least, that’s how I wistfully envision him ending the interview.

David announced yesterday that he is retiring from soccer after the current season. There are only two games left.
David, who’s played professionally for 21 years, said, “I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level.”
Then he slipped into his undies for a fashion shoot. In my mind at least.

Willie Nelson has donated more than $120,000 to the victims in West, Texas that suffered from that devastating fertilizer explosion. The explosion claimed the lives of 14 people and left more than a dozen injured.
Willie raised the money last month at a concert in Austin, Texas. He turned his 80th birthday bash into a fundraiser and explained to the crowd, “There are a lot of our friends and loved ones and neighbors down there. We talked to some of them and some of them made it out OK, and some of them didn’t but they’re strong and they’ll be back. It’s one of those things you don’t get over. But you will get through it.”
Willie gave $81k to the volunteer fire department, which lost 7 responders. Then he donated $40,000 to his hometown of Abbot, Texas, which neighbors West.
Willie that he decided to donate the money because, quote, “West is like our backyard. It’s where I grew up. I road my bike from Abbott to West and back all the time on that road where all this stuff happened.”
The Mayor of West said that the town was grateful to receive those donations because they could not have come up that money on their own.
Mayor Stevie Vanek said, “What he (Nelson) has done for us – with our fire department, and our fundraising, it would have taken us 10 years to raise that kind of money.”

Gwyneth has also offered some majorly discounted deals on her personal Goop website in the past. She offered thimble shot glasses for only $950 and sterling silver decanters for $4495. No word on if she successfully sold out of those too.
Maybe she’s using these fans as her test subjects. Gwyneth recently revealed that she hopes to open a restaurant in London with healthy salads, tacos, tuna and salmon burgers and more of her healthy entrees from her cook book.

Kim Kardashian should be popping out this baby in the next month or two and it looks like she’s going to have a little more help than we thought.
It was reported yesterday that Kim is furious because Kanye’s got other plans besides helping out with this baby.
He’s going on a world-wide tour to promote to his real baby, his new album that’s coming out. He actually held a listening session for a select few and they are saying that his music is from the next level, ‘like the year 3000’. That’s really serious stuff. I mean, people have babies all the time but it’s not everyday that someone puts out futuristic music from the year 3000.
Well new reports today say that Kim’s not going to sit at home changing diapers while Kanye’s traveling the world promoting this crazy good music. She’s rearranging her, and this new baby’s schedule, to accommodate Kanye. They are going with him on tour.
The touring company is requesting for cribs and soundproof hotel rooms at every stop.
But if she does actually go with him on tour, that’s going to be the longest amount of time that they’ve spent together. That could be the breaking point for them, if they even make it until then.
